Update: Staff Development Days

On Friday, we received notification that the Department of Education has allocated two additional Staff Development Days, which schools across Northern Ireland have been asked to take during this academic year. These days are additional non-contact days, designed to allow staff to work on key areas such as curriculum development, literacy and numeracy, assessment, and wider school improvement.

As we want to give families as much notice as possible , we are informing you now that our first designated Development Day is Monday, 16^th March and the second day is yet to be confirmed. Pupils will not attend school on these days. By selecting days close to existing breaks, we hope to minimise disruption for families while also potentially extending holiday opportunities. Please note that the next school bank holiday is 17^th March 2026.

Therefore, pupils will finish on Friday 13^th March and return to class on Wednesday, 18^th March.
